Video: Two Boys' Song of their Dad and Deployment

My husband works with a government agency and was assigned to work in Afghanistan for a year. My two boys and I wrote a song, called "September 1st" because that was the day that he had to leave, about how they felt being left behind. I made a video using real footage. It's on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiuWj2Rpo6c The song is a story of hope, love, courage and forgiveness.

Scared mom

My son is a 7-year Marine vet who is now working as an independent contractor in Kabul, Afghanistan. He usually works 3 months on and home with his family one month. He is a helicopter mechanic; however, I learned he mans the gun on the helicopter and was shot at that just missed him and has been in a helicopter crash. He tells me I don't want to know what he does but he loves it. I am now so terrified I can't sleep or eat. He's my only son. How does other people cope with this? I am not a religious person and I just can't get my head around it.

Becoming Spouses Caregiver

I'm starting the process of "officially" becoming my husband's caregiver, he has been out of the Army for a little over a month. He has tested positive for both the PTSD and TBI screenings and I'm just feeling a little overwhelmed. He can't even shave himself without cutting himself! I'm just so aggravated with myself for feeling so overwhelmed. I have our 19 month old son, recently dropped out of school so I could attend to him. On top of it all I'm pregnant with out 2nd child.
