The question may be "How can God love me?"
The belief you hold may be "God can't love me and He won't/shouldn't/can't forgive me.
The answer: God loves you beyond measure because He wants to and because we NEED that kind of unconditional love

Memorial Day


I would like to say thank you to all my Brothers and Sisters who served our country with Honor and Pride and to thank the Current "DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM" that carry on proudly in our footsteps as we did those before us. It is you who now carry the "Torch of Freedom" and I say thank you for my "FREEDOM".
Let us not forget those POWs~MIAs who still have not been found and return to their families and the land they love. "THEY FOUGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM, WECAN NOT FORGET THEIRS"

Traumatic Brain Injury and Concussion Study


Saint Louis University is currently seeking military veterans to participate in the following research study:

Saint Louis University Advanced Neurosurgical Innovation Center (SANIC) is currently conducting research to determine whether the brains of persons with and without concussion and traumatic brain injury differ in a meaningful way when viewed with state-of-the-art brain imaging.

New Benefits Available


WASHINGTON, April 26, 2010—
This week VA clarified a scarcely known benefit in Title 38, offering benefits to veterans using certain types of assistance dogs. AMVETS, which recently called attention to Title 38 Section 1714, successfully received guidelines from VA on how to properly file for the benefit. AMVETS encourages any veteran with an assistance dog, previously denied or awaiting approval of this benefit, to re-apply immediately.

PTSD Support Group


Mental Health America of Knox County (Mount Vernon, OH) is interested in starting a support group for veterans who are specifically dealing with PTSD issues. Mental Health America is a nonprofit educational resource for the county on mental health issues. We are a United Way Agency. We also currently sponsor a Depression/Bipolar support group that meets the first and third Thursdays of month at the Gay Street United Methodist Church where you would be welcomed.
