The Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DCoE) has established an Outreach Center to provide information and resources to service members, veterans, family members, health care providers, caregivers, employers and others in the community with questions about psychological health issues and traumatic brain injury.
Who Runs the Outreach Center?
The DCoE Outreach Center is part of the Department of Defense Military Health System. DCoE works to promote resilience, recovery and reintegration of service members facing psychological health issues and traumatic brain injury. DCoE also works to advance research, education, diagnosis and treatment for these conditions.

What Does the Outreach Center Offer?
The Outreach Center can assist with everything from routine requests for information about psychological health and traumatic brain injury, to questions about symptoms a caller is having, to helping a caller find appropriate resources for care and support or to address a range of other needs.
Health resource consultants are available to:
- Provide in-depth information and tools to promote resilience, recovery and reintegration.
- Find reliable and current PH and TBI information and resources.
- Assist service members, veterans, families, leaders, health care providers and others navigate systems of care.
Who Answers my Call, E-mail or Chat?
The health resource consultants are nurses and health professionals with backgrounds in psychological health and traumatic brain injury. Many health resource consultants hold advanced degrees at the masters or doctoral level accompanied by years of health care experience.
